ABOUT DINO HOP ROC

The game

Dino Hop Roc is a board game written and illustrated by my four-year-old son, Teddy. Teddy is a huge dinosaur fan and wanted to have a way to share his love of dinosaurs with his friends and family, so he created this board game with a few pieces of paper and some crayons. He needed no help coming up with the game rules; he explained them to me and we just started playing!

The rules are pretty simple. Each player has a set of dinosaurs that need to get to safety. You roll a die (green, the classic die for Dino Hop Roc, because that's what Grandmom had handy when we brought the board to her house) and one of your dinosaurs hops across the rocks to the finish. If you land on a rock that's already occupied by another dino, you bump that other dino back to the start. There is one special rock, second from the end, called the "You Did It" rock. Land here and your dino can jump right to the end! The first player to get all of their dinosaurs to safety wins.
